April has so far been a really interesting month, and its only the 16th. Last weekend I went with my 2nd host family the Freeman's to see Philadelphia 76'ers play. I was not a big 76'ers fan in Denmark, but after spending some months here I have become a huge fan, and it was really cool to see all my favorite players on the team. The 76'ers were playing Milwaukee Bucks. It was a close game until the 4th quarter where Milwaukee unfortunately played better and won 90-82. I did not care too much since the stadium experience and seeing the players was more than enough for me. Before the game started we also ate an amazing dinner at the Cadillac Grille where we had a view over the entire court while eating. It was a really cool night and I loved it! Thank you so much Dave and Arden for taking me!
We also had Easter today. We started the day out by having some of Corri's family over for a really delicious brunch, and for an Easter egg hunt of course. The weather was really good, almost too good, it was 27 degrees warm! Therefore after the brunch we just hung out indoors and enjoyed the air condition and relaxed. Later on the day we went Kyle's parents house. The weather had luckily cooled down a bit, so we were sitting outside enjoying the weather and ate a good Easter dinner consisting of ham, mashed potatoes and mac'n'cheese. It was really good and I had an awesome day, thank you very much for the Easter basket Corri (even though I am trying to be healthier haha).
I also got my prom tuxedo in April. My good friends Zach and Charlie came with me to help me pick out my tux. We went to Men's Wearhouse and I got measured and choose my design, shoes, colors, texture and if I wanted additional things such as top hats or gloves. Never have I ever tried anything like it, they had an entire "menu" that I could choose from and where I could customize my tux. I was very satisfied with my choice and I am extremely excited to see it and wear it and have a blast at prom! Thank you so much mom for "sponsoring" my tuxedo.
And currently I have about 3 months left, and status is currently that it is going to be really hard to leave Quakertown, which has pretty much become my new home. I love every second here with my good friends and the great people, and at this point I feel as American as everybody else. I just absolutely love it here, and feel really thankful for having had the chance to go on an exchange, to meet all these people and to experience life as an American student. Thank you so much everyone that have made this possible and especially my family in Denmark and my host families!
